1.12.2020: The Higher Mind & Meditation, & Making Way for the “WOW”!

Welcome, once again, to the NEW Meditation.Works Blog Spot, where it’s a whole new world of meditation, brought to you Meditation.Works style!

Welcome also, once again, to the powerhouse energies of the New Year 2020, and what is shaping up to be a supremely transformational Decade for all Planet Earthers!

This entire month, more than ever, all around the world, we celebrate the light from without that radiates from our glorious sun, as we maintain our trajectory and perpetual dance around it, in gratitude for sustaining all life on Earth for yet another year.

It is fitting to bring Guided Meditations to the world at this time, as in meditation, we seek out and celebrate the light within, the sacred essence of ourselves as “people of the light”; our soul light, that burns ever brighter the more we cultivate our connection with it through the ancient and vital practice of meditation.

We do this, that we may continually raise the vibration of our beautiful planet, so we can live in PEACE, and in love, together, here, as ONE, for as many days as Mother Gaia affords us.

1.12.2020: Brace Yourself

As if the off-the-charts, energetically powerful “Ring of Fire” Solar Eclipse that occurred on December 26, 2019 wasn’t enough to shake things up,  “The Great Transformation”, marked by the Saturn-Pluto conjunct on 1.12.2020 is upon us, just hours away as I write this Blog.

It promises to “mark” EACH ONE OF US, namely to bring a life-altering occurrence, one that after which, you will never be the same again on all levels of your being. 

This event need not necessarily be potentially negative, like the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a job, a friendship, it may signify the death of a belief system you’ve held – nay, defended – the end of a social construct you have made it a part of your life to partake in, or the shocking realization that things “out there” aren’t what they have seemed to be for such a long time.

It could also be the time you fall in love, make a life-long commitment to someone, have a child, graduate from college or university, or begin a meditation practice – which will DEFINITELY both “mark” and change you in more ways than you can possibly imagine. 

As I write this, JUST NOW, I got a pop-up on my phone from a really wonderful astrological app that my daughter, who herself is an accomplished astrologer, suggested I get. It’s called “The Pattern” and I highly recommend it. This is the a brief synopsis of what it says for today, 1.10.2020: 

“The next few days are highlighting a kind of conflict that has been building for the last 5 years; this level of tension hasn’t appeared for nearly 700 years. 

It’s becoming more and more clear that the current man-made rules of the world – including laws, hierarchies, and regulations – are going against the organic cycle of life. It’s like the operating manual that has been in place is contradicting the natural order of things. 

This underlying energy is unprecedented in our time, and it’s meant to create upheaval and change the established cultural norms. It’s an important moment for transformation to occur, although many people will want to hold on to the old ways of doing things. 

You may notice this resistance in your personal life or in world events. It’s like there’s a battle between the posers that want to maintain order and the forces that seek to destroy it. Although this may be an intense time, it’s a necessary moment, because it’s emphasizing the fact that the natural order of things can no longer be ignored. 

This time is an opportunity to confront the structures that have been in control. This includes your inner critic as well as designated authorities and people in power in the world. This combination of two very different forces is so powerful that it can create a kind of clarity – where all of humanity can see that things can’t continue the same way anymore. 

During this time, you might ask yourself, “In which areas of my life do I feel hopeless and helpless that anything will change?” And, “What controls me and the world around me in negative ways?” and, “Am I ready to help change the underlying structures that are unfair and create mistrust?”

Ideally, you’ll recognize this moment as a tipping point, where you’re able to identify what needs to radically change in yourself and in the world around you. Open yourself up to the transformation that’s possible now. The time period will last another 3-4 years.”

Synchronicity City!

Well, if I never believed in synchronicity (even though I do, totally!), this would have totally blown me away, to quote the vernacular! It’s one of those grace-filled moments that tend to occur the closer you get to your higher self and connected to all there is, through cultivating those connections through meditation… 

Here I am, about to publish this week’s Guided Meditation on “Manifesting Abundance”, wherein I talk about the fact that no matter what anyone says or has ever said about manifesting abundance, we can no more DIRECTLY control outcomes in our lives any more than we can redirect lightning. And that we can, however be open to receiving and managing the abundance that is best for our highest and greatest good – which is LIMITLESS…

In order to do this, however, we must first become conscious of negative thought patterns, which make up around 80% of our thoughts. Becoming self-aware through meditation and self-observation is the key to curbing negative thought patterns that block abundant outcomes.

And that’s exactly what “The Pattern” (that popped up, just as I began to write earlier today) talks about when it addresses the “inner critic” and what we need to do to change. Remember, it asks, “During this time, you might ask yourself, “In which areas of my life do I feel hopeless and helpless that anything will change?” And, “What controls me and the world around me in negative ways?” and, “Am I ready to help change the underlying structures that are unfair and create mistrust?”

In short, “The Pattern” is urging us, in this time of great astrological upheaval, to look within and identify negative thought patterns, so that WHEN WE COME THROUGH THIS paradigm shifting1.12.2020 herald, and by gum, WE WILL COME THROUGH IT, we will no longer be crippled with negative thought patterns running amok all over our lives, blocking the magnificent abundance – that is available for our highest and greatest good – that is just waiting for us to receive it in our lives!

I just LOVE IT when stuff like that happens! So great! Now more about the higher mind and meditation, as promised in last week’s Blog.

The Higher Mind and Meditation

Aside from the physical, emotional and intellectual benefits of daily meditation – even just 15 minutes of it a day – there is another even more important reason to meditate, which is very, very exciting indeed! In order to explain it properly, however, let’s take a step back and take a look at life from 10,000 feet, as they say.

Few of us feel fulfilled in our lives, sadly, because we have not yet fully embraced and learned how to wield the power of our intentions. More on that in a later post.

For now, just bear with me, and let’s do some creative visualization: Right now, just for a moment, imagine living the life you always dreamed of, and attaining the success you’ve worked so hard to achieve, and living that life in abundance, joyfully, in peace, with great enthusiasm for whatever endeavours you wish to undertake – with the right tools to manage stress so it never affects you adversely again.

Close your eyes and do that now for at least 17 seconds. Having done that, does that picture really seem so far-fetched to you? 

What if I told you the only thing standing in the way of that coming true is YOU? Yes, you. And why would that be? 

Because you’re not using the most powerful tool you possess to its greatest advantage – and that tool is your “higher self”, “higher mind”, or “Silent Passenger”.  The higher mind has the capacity to unleash your full potential and fulfil your every desire – when you know how to work with it to your greatest advantage. 

Here’s the Key!

The key to manifesting; the secret to making it work, is after you meditate and FEEL the state of having whatever it is you desire, is to get out of the way and allow it to happen or to come to you!

Most humans spend 90% of their time wanting something, and are continually communicating their sense of lack to the universe, ergo, getting back the same lack, creating an endless loop of lack, and ultimately, suffering.

Stay in neutral receiving mode for 90% of the time and only do your 17 second mediations on what you desire for 10% of the time. That’s the correct ratio for manifestation. 

Also, you can’t allow doubt to creep in or allow negative thoughts to overcome you. If you do, you’re blocking the natural, superb outcome of your desire. The visual equivalent of that is building an impenetrable 100 foot tall wall around yourself, with your self in the middle, scratching your head, wondering why your desire isn’t manifesting.

You see, it’s all the same to the universe, which absolutely must comply with your wishes, so if you’re in doubt and in negativity, it will give you more things to doubt and be negative about.

Do your 17 second visualizations where you are FEELING the incredible high from actually having achieved the things you desire, and then WHOOSH! Get out of the way and step into grateful receiving mode and watch your desires begin to manifest, right before your very eyes. 

That’s another reason meditation is so important – so very powerful – because it’s a way to detach yourself from those thoughts and just be present and in the moment (in grateful receiving mode) and allow your higher mind to take over and just observe the workings of the mind, with EASE and without judgement.

Always remember to be mindful of your breath and of any tension you may be holding in your body – and just be with it – and breathe through it – and bring a new awareness to yourself – a sense of calm, of peace, and positivity.

The rest, you will find, will unfold far more effortlessly than you could ever imagine, because you’ve prepared the way for great things to manifest – to unfold for you – for your “silent passenger” or “higher mind”, who is the REAL you – the higher part of you – your consciousness or “inner I”, that that steps to the forefront and becomes activated the moment you close your eyes and begin to meditate – with or without a Guided Meditation (both work equally well) – and allow thoughts – any thoughts – to just float on by like clouds in the sky. 

Thich Nhat Hanh, Zen Master and global spiritual leader, poet and peace activist, revered around the world for his powerful teachings and bestselling writings on mindfulness and peace, said this about meditation: Meditation is not evasion; it is a serene encounter with reality”. He is the man Martin Luther King called “An Apostle of peace and nonviolence.” His key teaching is that, through mindfulness – and meditation – we can learn to live happily in the present moment, which is the only way to truly develop peace, both in all aspects of one’s self and in the world.

So through that “serene encounter with reality”, or meditation, you now have the keys to manifesting your desires – be they what they may – for yourself or for the world. It doesn’t get better than that. 

Remember, just 15 minutes of meditation a day is enough to actualize the multiple benefits of daily meditation, which are really countless, as each person experiences the effects of it in the way they most need to experience them – which is truly magical – alongside reaping the other physical, psychological and emotional benefits that daily meditation has to offer, of course.
