In this month of January, all around the world, we celebrate the light from without that radiates from our glorious sun as we maintain our trajectory and perpetual dance around it, in gratitude for sustaining all life on Earth for yet another year.
…we seek out and celebrate the light within, the sacred essence of ourselves as “people of the light”; our soul light, that burns ever brighter the more we cultivate our connection with it through the ancient and vital practice of meditation.
As conscientious meditators, we do this so we may continually raise the vibration of our beautiful planet, and live in PEACE and in love, together, here, as ONE, for as many days as Mother Gaia and Creation affords us.
Thriving in Challenging Saturn-Pluto Times
Just a few days ago, Canadian Astrologer extraordinaire, Phil Booth, of http://boothstars.com, wrote that “the Full Moon Lunar eclipse in Cancer last Friday, January 10, amplified a confluence of epic celestial activity such as the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, Mercury rounding the far side of the Sun and the crescendo in the revolutionary and unpredictable energy of Uranus. The power of these configurations cannot be underestimated.
On Monday this week, the Sun catches up to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction. At the same time, Venus will enter spiritual Pisces. This will pave the way to getting some deep insights into a massive shift in your inner world. You’re likely to receive powerful dreams that will present you with intriguing symbolic images that make no sense at first.
As always the case with symbols, give them time to reveal their meaning. Listen carefully to your breath and the sounds around you. This needs to be done now more than ever. Your inner sure of wisdom will translate these symbols. You’ll notice that your usual reactions to events in your life will begin to change. As your inner world goes through a transformation, your outer world of mater will reflect these changes.”
Have YOU Been “Marked”?
As I wrote last week, the Saturn-Pluto conjunction promised to “Mark” each and every one of us, namely to bring a life-altering occurrence, one that after which, we would never be the same again, like the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a job, or a friendship.
Or it may have signified the death of your belief system, the end of a social construct you have made it a part of your life to partake in, or the shocking realization that things “out there” aren’t what they have seemed to be for such a long time.
Or, as I also mentioned, it could signify the time we fall in love, make a life-long commitment to someone, have a child, graduate from college or university, or begin a meditation practice – which has the capacity to both “mark” and change us in more ways than are imaginable.
Personally, I’ve already been through the wringer, especially since the 13th this month, as I myself have already experienced 3 of the above (not saying which ones!) and that’s just in the last 48 hours since Saturn and Pluto hooked up for the first time since the last time in history, which apparently, heralded the American Revolution!
There isn’t anyone I know who isn’t experiencing some sort of HUGE shift or challenge in their lives, and I know several who are REALLY getting put through said wringer, with several huge challenges on their plates!
On the upside, I’ve also felt felt a profound inner shift; a new steadfastness, renewed determination and a feistiness I didn’t know existed within me, which I can only chalk that up to the Saturn-Pluto hook-up – and other shifting energies occurring now on Earth. More about that in upcoming Posts!
Meditation RX to the Rescue!
Honestly, and I’m sure many of you feel the same way, and that’s if it wasn’t for my daily meditation practice, breathing exercises and going “inside” in meditation, finding my “best and highest self” and surrendering to it in all matters (as it truly knows what’s aligned with our path and what egos construct is holding us back), and getting back to centre, STOPPING the incessant thoughts that ceaselessly reel in my mind, (even for just brief increments at times), that cause my stress, and therefore cortisol levels, to skyrocket, I’d have probably not have gotten through the last few days as well as I have, despite the trinity of heavy duty challenges that just transpired in my life.
Like I said, there’s a new steadfastness, feistiness, and the total absence of fear moving forward.
If you’re feeling anything at all like that, you’re definitely aligned with, and are sensitive to, the stars and planets movements.
Just Say “No Thanks” to Fear!
The absence of fear (an egoic construct, whose only value is triggering fight or flight when you are in a life-threatening situation) is one of the biggest blocks we experience to full freedom and the end of human suffering.
It is also one of the more esoteric and byproducts of a regular meditation practice.
The more we meditate, the more we cultivate our relationship with our fearless “higher self” or “silent passenger”, as I like to call it. And the more we cultivate that relationship, the closer we are drawn to the full realization of our ultimate truth.
And it is up to each and every one of us to discover what that ultimate truth is – through meditation.
Simply said, if we cease having fearful thoughts, we will not create situations to be feared. It’s really that simple.
That doesn’t mean things will stop happening in your life that may illicit a heightened response from you. Those things will always happen.
The difference will be made in responding to these events CONSCIOUSLY, rather than reacting to them UNCONSCIOUSLY, and allowing fearful thoughts to run amok and take over our emotional, physical and mental state completely, we surrender to the “higher” aspects of ourselves, that are far greater, far stronger and far more resilient than your ego or any egoic construct ever was or could ever be.
This is spiritual mastery. Not unattainable. Just requires the intention – and meditation to get there. Can’t you just TASTE the freedom?? I know you can!
“Be the Rubber Duckie!”
Meditating immediately reduces stress and anxiety by 40%, and if you consistently meditate and teach yourself to go there as a default – even for JUST 1 FIERCELY INTENSE MINUTE OF GOING INSIDE – you could potentially live STRESS FREE.
Before you think I’ve gone mad with the Rubber Duckie pics, hear me out!
My beloved spiritual teacher used to say, “Be the Rubber Duckie!” And of course, I couldn’t stop laughing the first time I heard her say that! Until, of course, I got thinking about the it…
The Rubber Duckie remains the Duckie… and no matter the size of the waves or the motion of the water, just keeps on floating with that peaceful expression, letting each wave pass under it without a care in the world!
Can’t you just see yourself as the Duckie? In fact, that’s a great idea for a Guided Meditation, and I’ll have to create one on “the Duck” soon!
In the mean time, in these borderline insane Earth times, when things get a little kookier, spookier, freakier, weirder or just more challenging than you feel you can handle, STEP 1: Breathe! and…
…visualize “BEING the Rubber Duckie!”, serenely floating on the waves, smiling, paying no attention to the turbulent waters below. And you don’t have to tell ANYONE that’s what you’re doing. 😉
You’ll still benefit 100% from that serenity visualization, even if it’s for just a few moments, and help yourself get through whatever challenges come knocking on your bathroom – or otherwise – door.
And STEP 2: Breathe again! (Always remember breathing… It’s GOOD! Lol…)…
Cultivate the practice of responding to these events CONSCIOUSLY, rather than reacting to them UNCONSCIOUSLY, and allowing fearful thoughts to run amok and take over your emotional, physical and mental state completely.
With a steady meditation practice, I guarantee you you will find both your ultimate truth, end personal suffering and find your full freedom.

Goodness knows, we’re all stressed out to the max.
The WHO (World Health Organization) declared stress to be a global epidemic in the early 2000’s. I think we can safely say it’s at least doubled, if not quadrupled, or even sextupled since then, if not more.
If we could just STOP… give our whirring, buzzing, perpetually thinking minds a break, HUGE changes WILL ensue. Please don’t say you don’t have TIME to meditate… Honestly, you can’t afford NOT to meditate. And that’s what I’m determined to communicate to the world through this Blog. More about “STOPPING” in next weeks Blog.
As I say in the Guided Meditation, “There is no need to “DO” anything while meditating. Rather it is more a process of “un-doing”…
Here’s the key: No matter how many thoughts play in your mind or how many different feelings surface, do not be daunted by them. Everyone has thoughts and feelings that play on their mind…
When thoughts come up, as they will, simply acknowledge them, be grateful for them, then let them go. Or you can imagine they are clouds floating by in the sky, high above you…”
Stressful Events Will Continue to Ensue…
As described earlier when I talked about STEP 2 and CHOOSING to RESPOND rather than REACT to stressful situations with a fear response that takes over your life, as I also say in the Guided Meditation, “A person who ‘reacts’ to an event or situation has given the event or situation control or power over them. They are reacting physically, emotionally and psychologically, in varying degrees of intensity, to their own detriment, and usually make poor choices as a result, that are based on heated or hurt emotions.
The person who ‘responds’ to an event or situation is taking a step back, breathing through their reaction phase, taking time, acknowledging the relevant importance of the event or situation, putting it in perspective, and understanding or ‘assessing’ what exactly it means to them emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
The key words here are ‘breathing’, ‘putting things into perspective’, then ‘assessing’ what the body is saying about that situation through the feelings of stress and anxiety that arise...” There’s much more on that in the Guided Mediation itself, so please tune in and help yourself de-stress, with ease!
In the end…
…it is in this way, and in this way only, through introspection, breathing and meditation, that we are able to process our human stress.
And that is another reason why meditation is a moral imperative, in my opinion, given the state of the world. Goodness knows WE NEED CHANGE, and it isn’t going to come about with the same thought processes that created the situation that needs changing in the first place.
Practice stopping letting your thoughts control you, even for a few seconds or moments at a time, and learn how to achieve your goals and aspirations in SPITE OF THEM.
Any one of my Guided Meditations will take you through that process, and also gently take you on a meditation journey you will never regret, given all the incredible insights and experiences that are waiting for you just behind your eyelids when you close your eyes in meditation.
So please, remember to just STOP and meditate! You are a beautiful HUMAN BEING that’s evolving into an even more beautiful HUMAN BEING, and certainly not a HUMAN DOING! More about that in next week’s Post.
