Much of what makes us feel unwell (dis-ease) has its roots much deeper in our histories than we realize. It is mostly a result of past negative experiences or “traumas” that exist in the body as negative energy. That negative energy stays with us, unresolved, and wreaks havoc on our physical and emotional bodies. Healing or neutralizing those negative events energetically is key to reversing their detrimental effects on the body so we can achieve optimum health.
Most people aren’t aware of the fact that there are 23 forms of clinically diagnosed trauma (negative experiences), as well as hundreds of life-threatening illnesses, which in and of themselves, are traumatic.
These 23 different forms of trauma include: Physical abuse or assault, child or adult neglect, bullying: victim or bully, forced displacement, traumatic grief/separation, adult sexual abuse or assault, child sexual abuse or assault, victim/witness of domestic violence, victim/witness of school, workplace, community violence, victim/witness of prejudice/racism, war/terrorism, political violence, system-induced trauma, victim/witness of a fatal or near-fatal accident, life-threatening or chronic illness, invasive medical procedure, personal/inter-personal violence, vicarious trauma, child abuse or mistreatment, historical or generational trauma, man-made disaster victim/witness, natural disaster victim/witness and 3 that I have added are social media trauma, victim/witness of a global pandemic, forced impoverishment due to unforeseen circumstances.
Then there are relationship-generated emotional traumas like break-ups, betrayals, being lied to, being manipulated, being the victim of a sociopathic relationship, being stolen from within a committed relationship, being cheated on from within a committed relationship, etc. These too can be equally devastating to one’s life, their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual bodies.
This 27 Minute Healing and Life Balancing Guided Meditation will help you heal or neutralize the energy of any given negative experience from your body in an extremely powerful, loving, nurturing and safe way. If you would like to clear more than one trauma or negative event, it is best to focus on one instance at a time when working with this Guided Meditation. So, without further ado, here are the steps to the BREATH and MOVEMENT MEDITATION by the very brilliant and dedicated Paul Hyman, Brain Plasticity and Trager Method Guru:
Breath and Movement Meditation
Lie on your back, arms out to your side in the shape of the letter “T”. Feet are flat on the floor, knees are bent, ankles together, knees together.
One palm is up and one palm is down.
Find the side that hand is “palm and thumb down” and turn your legs to that side. Your head is turned and you’re looking at your “upturned, thumb-up” hand.
Breathing Cycle with Movement:
Your movements are timed based on the full cycle of your IN and OUT breath. The full breath cycle is started when your head and knees are in alignment.
- Arms are out to your side – letter T – palms down.
- Take an IN Breath as you drop your legs over to one side. At the same time, begin turning the opposite hand upwards as you turn your head in the same direction.
- As you begin your Out Breath you move in the reverse direction until your head and knees are in alignment again at the midline.
- Begin the next breath cycle as your legs drop to the opposite side with your arms moving and your head and eyes looking at the upturned hand. Breathe In as you drop your legs to the side and Breathe OUT as your legs return to centre. Whatever side is “palm down”, your knees are dropped to that side as your head turns in the opposite direction to your knees as you look at your up-turned hand.
Wait till you try it… It’s AMAZING! I recommend doing this meditation technique prior to doing the following HEALING and LIFE BALANCING Guided Meditation.
